Do My Time Notes: 8.1.00 Phil Harris This is one of Tim's personal favorite recordings and we all have his permission to spread this far and wide. The Talkin Cavin from this show was considered for inclusion on the Crossing before Tim layed down the perfect version in the studio that wound up being the version used for the record. He mentions us, the tapers, on this recording at the beginning of track 8 / disc2. He says to get it off the internet, and trade it amongst your friends. That is exactly what we shall do. Thanks Tim. Recording Notes: This is not a perfect recording. There are several small problems. Small SBD pops or clicks can be heard during some of the quiet moments. Some were removed before transfer, but some are still present. All of these were present on my Master and originated from the SBD, not my tape or the transfer. During some the really quiet moments, there is a CD playing at the SBD that is washing through the PA slightly. This is present for most of the show and can barely be heard at all. Also present is a slight hum that eminates from the stage or the SBD and is only present towards the end of the 2nd set. All of these small and minor defects were present live and are present on the Master DAT. The first set was originally 78 minutes, but was edited to 74 minutes. Only the tuning before the set starts and the applause after the set ends were removed so it would fit on a 74m disc. No music or song breaks were edited in any way. The second set was not edited at all. This lineup very rarely plays outside of Nashville and we are lucky to see 3 gigs in a year here. This is a terrific recording of an awesome show and I hope all who hears it, enjoys it emmensly.
